Canadian Solar, a solar generating company based in Canada, announced it signed a 15-year deal to provide solar power to Dallas-based oil and gas pipeline company Energy Transfer, the first time for Energy Transfer to sign a dedicated solar contract. The power purchase agreement made economic sense, said David Coker, vice president of power optimization at Energy Transfer.
