Dallas pipeline operator Sentinel Midstream has joined a three-way race to build an offshore crude oil export terminal capable of accommodating supertanker traffic near Houston. In a Monday morning statement, Sentinel reported filing an application with the U.S. Maritime Administration to obtain a deepwater port license for Texas GulfLink, a proposed crude oil export platform about 30 miles south of Freeport.
